| Content: | One group of the ICT students in Higher Diploma in Software Engineering won the Bronze Award of Internet of Things (IoT) Awards 2014 under the IoT Revolution Application Category. This group combined with 6 students in three different FYP team members. They just graduated in June 2014 and continue to work with a new idea using iBeacon devices. In the competition project, the devices will be used in the shopping centre which is supported by “Cisco” company for auto detecting the customer’s device in product and services promotion purposes. All of the team members now articulated to the local and overseas universities. The team ranked No. 3 out of 55 competition projects. This result is so amazing and exciting! Except the Bronze award, my another group in TY get a Merit under the same category. “Product Authentication System with NFC Technology - a mobile application“. |
